was incorporated in 1992 as a Commercial bank. It operates with
69 branches network all over Pakistan. The Paid up Capital of the Bank is PKR
4.243 billion,Equity PKR 5.148 billion,Total Assets PKR 41.344
billion. The bank is listed on Karachi & Lahore Stock Exchanges
in Pakistan and governed by the State Bank of Pakistan and the
Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan.
The controlling
interest was acquired by one of the leading industrialists Mr.
Iqbal Alimohamed in March 2004. Mr. Alimohamed is a Fellow Member
of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (England & Wales)
and Institute of Chartered Accountants Pakistan. He is not only
one of the leading businessman and industrialist of the country
but also one of the pioneers of modern day management in Pakistan.
The organizations that he has setup and managed have become "Centers
of Excellence" in their respective categories. In addition
to Chairman mybank Ltd, he is the Chief Executive Officer Gul
Ahmed Energy Limited, an Independent Power Producer under the
1994 power policy. He is Chairman of the board of Directors of
Excel Insurance Company Limited. He also holds directorships in
various other companies including Asset Management.
The management
of the Bank was taken over by Mr. Muhammad Bilal Sheikh. He took
charge with effect from August 11, 2006. Mr. Bilal Sheikh is a
seasoned banker with almost 40 years of diversified experience
in banking; he enjoys a very high reputation in the banking industry.
His last assignment before joinng mybank Limited was President
& Chief Executive Officer, PICIC Commercial Bank Limited.
Prior to that Mr. sheikh also served as Deputy Managing Director
PICIC Corporation Limited and Chairman National Development Finance
Corporation (NDFC).
The Bank enjoys
A (Single A) for the medium to long term and A-1 (A ONE) for the
short term entity ratings by Pakistan Credit Rating Agency Limited.
